Heather L. Grothe, MD

Dr. Grothe earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota and completed her Family Medicine residency at St. John’s Hospital at the University of Minnesota. Following her residency, she pursued a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Colorado where she gained expertise in sports medicine and musculoskeletal ultrasound. She holds RMSK certification and AIUM accreditation in musculoskeletal ultrasound. Additionally, she has comprehensive experience in sports medicine, including serving as team physician for NCAA Division I athletes, most recently for the University of Minnesota, Duluth. In 2023 she served as the Medical Director for the Women’s Frozen Four. Dr. Grothe is available to see patients at our Duluth office.
