MRI Technologist
We are looking for a warm and friendly MRI Technologist to support our busy healthcare team. As our MRI Technologist, you’ll contribute to the overall patient experience at your organization by ensuring our patients are taken care of in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
MRI Technologists are ARRT registered professionals responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Toshiba Elan 1.5T MRI scanner, producing quality imaging in a timely and efficient manner for the patients of OA.
Essential Functions Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Perform MRI exams in accordance with protocols established by the Medical Director.
- Possess knowledge of MRI concepts, standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical and support staff, and the public.
Specific Skills:
- Ability to correctly position the patient to provide quality imaging.
- Complete understanding of MRI applications.
- Knowledge of imaging techniques to perform routine MRI’s.
- Ability to efficiently operate equipment.
- Maintain proper quality control procedures; perform daily QA/QC, schedule quarterly PM’s with engineer, schedule annual physicist testing.
- Knowledge of imaging equipment and testing to perform quality control checks and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
- Ability to multi task and juggle multiple requests, PACS systems, and EMR’s.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current medical terminology.
- Requires adherence to policies and procedures, particularly standards of safety.
- Maintain current CPR and Continuing Education Units.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Greet and interview patients and escort them to the MRI Suite, prepare patients for their exam, and conduct a safety screening of all patients entering zones 3 and 4 prior to imaging.
- Restrict access to the MRI Suite to authorized individuals and cleared patients.
- Maintain visual and verbal contact with patients during scanning.
- Remove patients from the scanner upon completion of their procedure.
- Respond to any incidents or accidents that occur within the MRI suite providing immediate medical treatment and assistance when necessary.
- Be cognizant of, respect, protect, and preserve all aspects of the patient’s dignity and privacy.
- Generate orders and document MRI safety form in the EMR.
- Enforce safety policies.
- Investigate and clear implants as appropriate.
- Research patient histories and obtain prior imaging.
- Enter orders, diagnosis codes, order orbit x-rays as needed.
- Communicate with Radiologists and their office personnel, IT group. Send demographics, workers compensation information, and reports as required by Radiological Associates.
- Maintain HIPAA.
- Maintain CPR.
- Attend work meetings.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, MRI suite, and patient locker room. Order linen and supplies as needed.
- Assemble and collate screening forms. Restock as needed.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiology program.
- National registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (R) ). MR registry and /or CT registry preferred.
- 2 years MRI experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Current CPR for healthcare providers.

Patient Services Representative – Virginia (Rock Ridge)
The Patient Services Representative will greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, process
refferals, process prescription requests, and complete chart prep for scheduled appointments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Welcomes patients and visitors to the medical office by greeting patients and visitors in person and on
the telephone and answering inquiries or referring questions to other staff members. - Schedules appointments for the physicians and physician assistant to optimize patient satisfaction,
provider time and most effective use of examining and treatment rooms. Prepares a daily schedule of
examinations for each provider. - Retrieves patient files from desktop, checks for correct sequence of papers, inserts new patient
records, and places files in sequence for physician examination or treatment. - Assists ill or distraught patients as necessary. Telephone transport or family members when necessary
for transportation. - Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3+ years of customer service experience, with a focus on healthcare industry preferred, but not
required - Personality and demeanor to deal with the public and assist patients
- Basic office skills such as typing and filing.
