The Best of Both Worlds: We’re Hiring a CMA/LPN in Grand Rapids!
Are you a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who loves the “hands-on” side of medicine? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment but want a work schedule that actually respects your work-life balance?

Orthopaedic Associates (OAD) is growing, and we have a very special seat open at the table.
We are currently looking for a warm, friendly, and clinical-savvy CMA or LPN to join our team. This is a unique role: while you’ll be an official member of the OAD family, you’ll be based right in the Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN.
Why You’ll Love This Role
This isn’t just about sitting behind a desk. This is a high-energy, clinical position where you get to use your skills every single day. You won’t just be rooming patients; you’ll be an integral part of the healing process.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Hands-on Orthopaedic Care: From casting and splinting to brace fitting and surgical dressing changes.
- Clinical Variety: Preparing injections, removing sutures/staples, and assisting our surgeons with clinical decision-making.
- Patient Connection: Being the friendly face that guides patients through their recovery journey.
The “OAD” Advantage
Working for Orthopaedic Associates means joining a culture that values its people. We offer a competitive pay range of $20.00 – $26.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package that covers everything from health and dental to a 401(k) and generous paid time off. No nights or weekends. This position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
Are You the Perfect Fit?
We are looking for someone who is as compassionate as they are capable. Our ideal candidate:
- Holds a current CMA or LPN license (required).
- Is a multi-tasking pro who stays calm when the clinic gets busy.
- Has a “can-do” attitude – whether it’s bandaging an injury or documenting patient info with precision.
- Experience Note: While 3+ years in orthopaedics is a plus, we are willing to train the right person who has at least one year of medical assisting or nursing experience!
Ready to Join the Team?
If you live in (or are ready to relocate to) the beautiful Grand Rapids area and want to represent OAD within the Grand Itasca Clinic, we want to meet you!
Orthopaedic Associates is an equal opportunity employer. Come help us move lives forward!
