Orthopaedic Associates Named One Of Minnesota’s Health Care Leaders
October 4, 2016
Duluth, MN – Minnesota Physician has named William F. Schnell, MD, Orthopaedic Associates’ vice president and one of our Board-certified orthopaedic surgeons, as one of the “100 Influential Minnesota Health Care Leaders.”
Minnesota Physician is a monthly, independent medical business newspaper dedicated to consumer advocacy. Once every four years, it invites medical professionals to submit the names of colleagues who they believe are leaders. These nominees help make health care in Minnesota a global model of excellence.
The publication asked the nominated leaders to talk about the changes and challenges for their practices. Dr. Schnell said, “We recently incorporated occupational and physical therapy services into our practice and expanded the range of surgical procedures to include outpatient hip and knee replacement.”
Dr. Schnell received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in 1982, and his orthopaedic surgery residency took place at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee, WI. He sees patients at Orthopaedic Associates’ Duluth and Hibbing clinics, Hibbing Family Medical Clinic, and Lake View Clinic in Two Harbors. His professional affiliations include the Lake Superior Medical Society, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the American Medical Association, among others.
Serving the Northland since 1969, Orthopaedic Associates offers a complete range of diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation services with ten surgeons and a team of professionally trained staff.
