Heather L. Grothe, MD and Taylor M. Paziuk, MD join Orthopaedic Associates

September 10, 2024 (Duluth, MN) – Orthopaedic Associates of Duluth, P.A. is pleased to announce Dr. Heather L. Grothe, MD and Dr. Taylor M. Paziuk, MD have joined their elite team, expanding their excellence even further in sports medicine and in spine care.
Dr. Grothe is board-certified in sports medicine and family medicine, specializing in the treatment of sports injuries, arthritis, and musculoskeletal conditions using diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injections. She earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota and completed her family medicine residency at St. John’s Hospital at the University of Minnesota. She pursued further specialization with a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Colorado. Dr. Grothe’s extensive experience includes serving as team physician for NCAA Division I athletes, most recently at the University of Minnesota Duluth, and as Medical Director for the 2023 Women’s Frozen Four. She is available for appointments at our Duluth and Virginia Rock Ridge clinic.
Dr. Grothe shared, “The most fulfilling aspect of what I do is getting to know my patients, helping them overcome injuries, successfully treating their condition, and ultimately helping them get back to doing what they love.”
Dr. Taylor Paziuk specializes in spine surgery and brings a wealth of experience in the most up-to-date spine treatments. He earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed his residency at The Rothman Orthopaedic Institute – Thomas Jefferson University. He further specialized in spine care through a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgical fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation’s Neurologic Institute, the only such program of its kind. Dr. Paziuk has received numerous accolades throughout his training, including the Richard H. Rothman Outstanding Resident Award and Chief Spine Fellow designation.
Dr. Paziuk stands apart from other spine surgeons in the region through his extensive involvement in groundbreaking research. His contributions to numerous book chapters, publications, and presentations reflect his commitment to advancing the field of spine surgery and ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
