Orthopaedic Associates to offer orthopaedic spine services

May 2, 2018

Duluth, MN (5-2-18) – Orthopaedic Associates of Duluth is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Dan Hanson. He is a board-certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon and will be seeing patients at Orthopaedic Associates the first and third Friday of every month beginning July 20.

Hanson will provide clinical assessments and treatment for patients with radiating back pain. He will work closely with pain management specialists to target and help perform pain management to provide the most effective treatment plan.

"My goal is to find the simplest way to give patients better quality of life and a quicker recovery,” Hanson said. “I have found that procedures such as cervical disk replacement, endoscopic spine surgery, and non-fusion techniques often provide better outcomes with a quicker recovery.”

Orthopaedic Associates is the only provider in the region to provide this specialty.

Hanson completed his medical degree at the University of Minnesota and his residency in orthopedic surgery at Indiana University in Indianapolis. He also completed a fellowship in spine surgery at Spine Surgery, PSC in Louisville, Kentucky, and with the Indiana Spine Group in Indianapolis. He now practices at the Minnesota Spine Institute in the Twin Cities area.

Serving the Northland since 1969, Orthopaedic Associates offers a complete range of diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation services with nine surgeons and a team of professionally trained staff.
